Our Story

Sal Ferrara came to the United States at the age of 6 years old from Sicily, Italy. He started working in a bakery at the age of 10, and has been in the restaurant business ever since. He opened up his very first Pizza restaurant in New York called Mario’s. Since 1986, he has been opening pizza restaurants along the east coast.

The first Ferrara Pizzeria was opened in 1991 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and has grown into more than 10 locations along the east coast.

Our Ferrara Pizza location in Burlington, North Carolina was established in June of 2020.
